Tongits Go Rules & Gameplay
Tongits Go is essentially a 3-player game. Each player is dealt a hand of cards at the start, and the goal is to arrange those cards into valid sets.
Look at the cards dealt to you at the start of the game. Think about which cards can form a set or a run.
On each turn, draw a card from the deck or the discard pile, then get rid of a weak card from your hand.
Form three cards of the same rank or a sequence of consecutive cards and place them on the table.
If you have no cards left in hand, declare "Tongits" and secure the win. A player with the lowest points can also win.
Winning Strategies & Tips
Tongits Go is not just a game of luck — knowing the right strategies can significantly raise your chances of winning. Below are some strategies favoured by experienced players at 86bd9.
Watch Your Opponents' Discards
Pay close attention to which cards other players are discarding. This helps you understand what sets they are building so you can adjust your strategy accordingly.
Meld Early
Meld your cards as quickly as possible. Fewer cards in hand means fewer points, so even if the game ends in a draw, you can still win.
Don't Hold On to High-Value Cards
If high-value cards like King, Queen, or Ace cannot be melded into a set, discard them quickly. These cards cost more points if you lose the game.
Call Draw at the Right Time
If you feel your opponents have more points and your hand is in a good position, call a draw to secure a points win.
